My mind of politic accountability has been spoken by above article which is a good read.
I personally think a politician should uphold the accountability as their priority in their work, in their capacity as RAKYAT representative.
I remembered I read a headline news in NZ whereby a minister's daughter has driven her mother's official ministry car for a night out and she was caught with 2 charges:
1) High level of alcohol;
2) Driving a minister official car
The minister was asked to explain why she allowed her daughter to use the official car, to the Parliment in the very next meeting.

Not only the ministers, the conies of the ministers are also held not accountability. Like my previous project, it is only two years overdue the date of completion but project is still ongoing. What is accountabiity?
Hi Paul,
Maria wants me to ask you whether you have helped to return Sylvester books to his form teacher Miss Ho. Thanks.
Will,
Oh yes. i returned all the books long time ago.
I think it is very much the same no matter where you are....in US or NZ or Australia or in Malaysia. At the end of the day, there are many crooks outside there...as community we must have the courage to take action to ensure we are living in a progressing community.
Last time, when Malaysian gomen rescued few national banks/GLC, US condemns. Now, the same action used on Frankie and Fanie by US gomen....so who is shameful now ?
Soon, may US will be pegged ! :)
Agree with MGB that its the same everywhere, the problem with Malaysia now is that we have let the ruling party gather too much power all these years, and they have eroded the check and balance (the judiciary, police, ACA, etc) to such an extent that no one can touch them even if they do anything wrong.
There is no perfect system or government in this world, but at least some countries are able to prosecute the guilty. There has been noises about making ACA independent, but dare the gomen make it the same as HK's ICAC?
In recent days, the Malay rulers are hinting that they may start to play a more active role in providing the check and balance. At last, someone is starting to stand up for the rakyat.
Hi Paul,
You are not very active recently. Looking forward to your next post.
